At Solstice Theatre Society, every production is a community effort powered by the energy, creativity, and generosity of volunteers like you. Whether you want to act on stage, work behind the scenes, or support us as a member, there’s a place for you here.
Our society is proud to stage two productions each year Spring and one in the Fall. These shows bring together artists, enthusiasts, and first-timers to create something special for our island audience.
No experience necessary, just a passion for theatre and a willingness to collaborate!
Membership
Becoming a member is one of the simplest and most meaningful ways to support Solstice Theatre Society.

Membership Rates:
$20 for a 3-year adult membership
$10 for youth under 18

Ways to Get Involved
We’re always looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to help bring our productions to life. Below are just a few of the many ways you can contribute:
On Stage
- Actor/Actress
Bring characters to life and share the spotlight with our community. - Auditions
We host open auditions before each production. All are welcome to try out!
Backstage & Behind the Scenes
- Costumes / Makeup / Hair
Help shape the visual identity of each production with your creative touch. - Lighting & Sound Technician
Operate equipment, set cues, and enhance the atmosphere of each scene. - Stage Hand
Assist with quick changes, set transitions, and backstage logistics.

Production Team Roles
- Director
Leads the artistic vision and works with the cast and crew to bring the story to life.
- Producer
Oversees budgeting, scheduling, and administration of the production.
- Artistic Director
Provides overall creative leadership and helps select shows and themes.
- Program Coordinator
Designs the show program, coordinates bios, ads, and printing.
- Stage Manager
Coordinate rehearsals and performances, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
- Props Manager
Source, organize, and manage all props to bring the world of the play to life.
