Our Story
The Solstice Theatre Society has been a cornerstone of community arts on Pender Island since it officially gained society status in 1991. Born from a shared passion for storytelling and creative collaboration, the Solstice Theatre Society has become a vibrant part of the island’s cultural fabric.
Over the years, the Society has brought together residents, visitors, and artists alike, celebrating local talent through performances that range from heartfelt dramas to laugh-out-loud comedies. What began as a small group of dedicated enthusiasts has grown into a respected community organization committed to fostering the performing arts.

Our Mission
Our purpose is simple yet powerful:
To provide a vehicle for artistic expression in the performing arts through the presentation of theatrical productions and the development of theatrical skills.
